Pork and Prawn Siomai
  • 850g Ground Pork
  • 150g Cooked Prawns
  • 1/2cup Singkamas or Water Chesnuts
  • 1 Onionlarge
  • 1bunch Spring Onions
  • 1 Egg
  • 5tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 1tsp White Ground Pepper
  • 1pack Wonton Wrapperor Siomai Wrapper
Chilli Sauce
  • Lemonor Calamansi
  • Soy Sauce
  • Chilli Oil
  • Sesame Oil
  1. PREPARE THE STEAMER. Boil water and brush the steamer with oil. Note: So the dumpling won’t stick on the steamer.
  2. COMBINE ALL THE INGREDIENTS. You have an option to do it manually or put all the ingredients in a food processor apart from the siomai or wonton wrapper. Blitz until all the ingredients are thoroughly mix.
  3. REST. Refrigerate the mixture for about 20-30 minutes.
  4. ASSEMBLE. Spoon 1 tablespoon of mixture into each wrapper then seal nicely.
  5. STEAM. Cook the dumplings for 15-20 minutes for larger pieces depending on the size you made.
  6. CHILLI SAUCE. Mix all the ingredients together depending on your taste then serve it with the siomai.
